J.J. Gerritsen, Captain of the Apollo and husband of Malibu Fish N’ Tackle manager Diana, caught this 21.4 pound albacore on 6 lb. tippet using a red and black Lefty’s Deceiver. The fish was caught in Mexican water September 17 of this year on the Apollo’s combined fly and conventional charter out of San Diego. J.J.’s application for a tippet class world record is pending.
